The Materials Center (Centre des Matériaux) is a joint research center of Mines ParisTech-PSL and ARMINES. The Materials Center is also a joint unit of the CNRS. It is composed of 3 poles: MIMEX: Microstructure and Experimental Mechanics / SIMS: Simulation, Materials, Structures / SIP: Surfaces, Interfaces, Processes and a transverse axis FAMHES: Additive Manufacturing of Out-of-Equilibrium Materials and Systems. All the analytical and computational means (code Zset, Abaqus) of the CdM will be made available as well as the two cold spray facilities (low or high pressure) in particular with dynamic vacuum tests in a VPS chamber. LASAT for laser shock experiments will also be used for the study of adhesion. The Materials Center brings its expertise in the field of cold spray , controlled atmosphere projection spraying, LASAT adhesion measurement and process simulation.
